So amidst all the vacation excitement we managed to find a place to live! That is part of my excuse for not posting the week in between our two family trips. We bought a condo in Sandy and we are very excited to graduate from renting. We also went down to Utah county for a couple of days for a basketball camp at BYU. Okay so the vacations were great, lots of good family time. We did Father's Day and Disneyland with the Lovell clan minus Jamie because of work obligations. Ada had a really good time and behaved herself really well. We freaked her out pretty good by taking her on the Alice in Wonderland ride. Whoever designed that ride must have been on a serious acid trip because it is dang weird. The whole time she kept saying "scary mommy scary" But then we took her on the carousel and on Casey Jr's train ride and It's a small world and all was well. She got to meet Mickey and Tigger and her favorite ride of the whole trip was the Winnie the Pooh ride. Now that we are home she will randomly say " Winn pooh ride mommy, meet Tigger". It's funny. In California adventure she got to take a picture with Mater and Lightening McQueen and we went on some more rides in the Bugs Life part. We really had fun even though we had to be up before 5 o'clock for all of our flights and our suitcase got lost. Naps were taken and our suitcase was eventually found so it's true what they say, all is well that ends well, for that trip anyway. Last Monday morning we flew to Seattle to hang out with the Dixon clan. Those of us with kids stayed at Kelli's house, while Mom, Dad, Kara, Jason and Jessie had the awesome opportunity to stay at the local motel, which was built before time was invented, I think. But at least they got a good nights rest. We took the ferry into Seattle for a day and did some touristy stuff, and then went to see the Seattle Storm play the L.A. Sparks (WNBA). We reserved a box so the kids could run around a bit. It was good times. We went to Ocean Shores one day, only to be blasted by wind the entire time we were on the beach. But we did fly a kite, see a dead jellyfish and watch a car almost get swept into the ocean by the rising tide but be rescued just in time by a fire truck with a wench and a really long cable. Then Ada locked herself inside the car and after a lot of yelling a coaxing and a few bites of her muffin she managed to push the unlock button on the keys. Then we all drove home. We did some shopping and the kids swam in the front yard and we had a couple of fires in the fire pit and made smores. We had fire works in the front yard and sparklers for the kids. On Friday night we had a little birthday party for Ada and Brynna. Kelli made a chocolate raspberry cheesecake and a mini one for the girls. They got to open presents and blow out the candles. It was a fantastic three weeks, we are glad to be home and getting ready for the move. Emerson got a part-time job today at a sporting goods store so that should keep him out of trouble for a while and help with the cash flow. Life is good. We really are grateful for everything we have, everything we have gotten to experience and for our awesome families. It seems like we are being blessed every time we turn around. The Lord really does love us and I feel that more and more everyday. He hears our prayers and knows what is best for us. I am so grateful to play a small part in his world and to be able to play a part in all of your lives.
